Chalk Paint Hack #4: Use a sanding sponge (if distressing) to easily distress your furniture quickly. Use a 220 or 150 grit sandpaper and sand the paint in places until it shows the original wood. Now remember, the more coats of paint you apply the harder you're going to have to sand.
