Ford Capri mk1 2000 GTXLR Auto
The Ford Capri is a fastback coupé built by Ford of Europe, designed by Philip T. Clark, who was also involved in the design of the Ford Mustang. [1] It used the mechanical components from the Mk2 Ford Cortina and was intended as the European equivalent of the Ford Mustang.

The Facelift. In September 1972 the Capri range recieved a "facelift" of over one hundred and fifty changes to the car. Mechanically the 1600 "Kent" engine was replced by the "Pinto", but all the other engines remained the same, the 2.0 litre Pinto did not arrive until the MkII Capri in 1974. Softer springs and rear anti-roll bars were fitted.
